Social Media Schedule
For the final project of our team, I’m responsible for the social media scheduling part.
Social media scheduling is a very important part since the timing of posts may influence the effect of the posts. For companies that want to improve their awareness among the potential customers, a good timing of the posts can result in a significant increase in awareness. But a bad timing may cause the posts to be totally useless.
To prove our hypothesis on the best schedule of the three social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, we designed an experiment of 2 weeks. In the first week we adopt the auto-schedule function of Hootsuite and in the second week we will adopt out own schedule for the posts.
After the two weeks we will compare the awareness of the posts on the 3 social media platforms in terms of likes, comments, shares, retweets, etc.
The content calendar including the content and pictures of the posts will be provided by one of my teammates and what I need to do is just post them. Since the Hootsuite is not perfectly compatible with Instagram of the auto-schedule function, I can only manually post the Instagram posts according to the suggested time by Hootsuite.
