8th blog–The startups help to deal with the poverty issue in Washington D.C.
There are lots of kids who need financial support to achieve their career. MPOWER is one of the nonprofit organizations that focuses on those type of youth and provides help with employment opportunities such as health care and education. For example, they would teach kids who want to be a chef the skills of how to make a delicious cake for selling.
Also, they offer the loans of education expense for students for their further career.
Basically, those startups and entrepreneurs target at the social issues and fill the gap that government cannot achieve for a short time.
With helping those kids as well as the social development, they do gain the great reputation from the society especially the youth; also, they could accumulate the popularity for their further improvement.
As the matter of fact, there now are lots of people who need such kind of assistance. Even in the big city, they are more likely to be lived down. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to set up such kind of organizations to help people in some aspects regardless of its profitability, but more in the social responsibility.
People who work for this would gain a strong sense of satisfaction and achievement. At the same time, they can better achieve the social responsibility when they operate their own business later.
