An excerpt from another student:

“I am currently writing this from a spare bedroom in my castle. It is the middle of the night, but I cannot sleep, I am too uneasy. Since the night of the assassination, my nerves have constantly been on edge. Every single night, I wander the halls by myself. My lady tells me not to think of what I have done, but I cannot rest. My mind is always in full gear, contemplating. I thought that being king would bring great joy to my life, but it has not…”

Romeo and Juliet Projects

An adapted variation of the project, this student drew images that symbolized a bigger idea in the play and also included a written section to accompany this poster

“The cage and black feather are related to Juliet. Juliet is beautiful but in her heart she chose an ugly path, that is why the feather is black. The other reason is that a crow means death…The cage that is broken was Juliet’s prison, Juliet was a prisoner of her family – the Capulets – the cage is open because Juliet got her freedom but the freedom she acquired to be with the man she loved destroyed her.”

This student adapted a popular song with the events of Romeo and Juliet.

“Saturday morning, jumped out of bed,
And put on my best shoes.
Dad had a party, you took my hand,
And got me to kiss you.
Called out to me on my balcony,
Swearing your love,
Should we slow down? Are we going too fast?

Romeo, will you love me for the rest of your life?
Say ‘yes’, say ‘yes’, ’cause I need to know.
You say you’re sure about you feelings
Will you make me your wife?
Here comes the Nurse!
I’ve really got to go!…”
