Her research focuses on hydrometeorology and ecohydrology, with a particular emphasis on evapotranspiration partitioning and carbon\u2013water coupling in wetland and forest ecosystems.<\/p>\n<p>Yi completed her Ph.D. in Geography (Water) at the University of Waterloo in 2025. Her PhD dissertation is <a href=\"https:\/\/uwspace.uwaterloo.ca\/items\/581bc3c3-371c-4d49-902d-71d864ed5681\"><em>Uncovering the understudied role of microtopography and ground cover on evapotranspiration partitioning in high-elevation wetlands in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>She earned her M.Sc. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from the University of British Columbia, Okanagan, in 2018.
