i finally got around to design my professional-ish biz card, for Trek China mainly. or at least, that makes a semi-valid reason for me to look away from finance and do some cropping.
anyways, here comes the first version, which were said to be too plain:

and in hindsight, i have to agree, those are not the most exciting designs in the world xD thought at first i thought it was awesome, like for all designs i’ve done.
for the design, i still strive to keep it simple. i like the idea of having minimal information on a business card, such that the most important (contact info, usually) would easily stand out. also add a bit of personality to it, but not too much since i’m striving for professionality with this on. i’m also still pretty much in love with flat and minimalism. so keeping all these still in place, i worked out a second version:

of course, they still aren’t the most exciting designs. i’ve seen plenty other better designs than this one, and i myself am still pretty much an amateur.
but this is my own design after all 🙂 it’s a start 😛
and now i sent it to Linda for final feedback. expect to print those babies out once she gives the go 😀
