Autobiography

gradI am Japanese and I was born and raised in Japan. I attended Japanese private school until Grade 2 and transferred into an international school (definitely the biggest turning point in my life). At age 8, I started learning English as my second language. After graduating high school in 2009, I flew to Vancouver, Canada for post-secondary education at the University of British Columbia. In May 2013, I graduated University of British Columbia (UBC) with a degree in psychology.

I am currently enrolled in the Faculty of Education: Kindergarden in Primary Program (KIPP) at UBC. In this cohort, our focus is on students in kindergarden to Grade 3.

I have wanted to become a teacher since I was in Grade 5 and now, I am walking towards that goal one step at a time.
