Understanding that every individual has a unique learning style, providing materials in variety of modes are important. SMARTboards are one of the great tools we can use as an educator to provide multimodal lessons. It is visual, it can play audio, it can be hands-on, it can link us to websites, etc.

Providing students an option as to how they would like to demonstrate their acquired knowledge is also important. Having a variety of assignment styles and assessment methods is essential in capturing the true ability of a student.
