{"id":108,"date":"2013-11-18T00:55:17","date_gmt":"2013-11-18T08:55:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/yunhsu\/?p=108"},"modified":"2013-11-18T00:58:05","modified_gmt":"2013-11-18T08:58:05","slug":"108","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/yunhsu\/2013\/11\/18\/108\/","title":{"rendered":"Bye Bye Blackberry?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Blackberry\" src=\"http:\/\/wpmedia.business.financialpost.com\/2013\/11\/bb-devices.jpg?w=620\" width=\"496\" height=\"372\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In response to classmate <a title=\"Does BlackBerry have a future?\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/jiejiezhao\/2013\/10\/05\/does-blackberry-have-a-future\/\">Jiejie Zhao<\/a>&#8216;s post questioning Blackberry&#8217;s future, the glory days of the once industry leading telecommunications company is far behind as Blackberry has had to cut jobs, undergo change in CEO and the back and forth of\u00a0acquisition offers.<\/p>\n<p>Formerly known as\u00a0Research in Motion (RIM), the company&#8217;s plan to sale itself is similar to its popularity, a thing of the past.
