Faktum Hotel

Faktum is a street newspaper sold to support homeless people in Gothenburg, Sweden. The company wanted to come up with an interesting campaign to increase the awareness of the public regarding homeless issues in Gothenburg, and also receive funding to support 3,400 homeless people in the city, who usually spent their nights on the streets due to limited capacity of the shelters.

Faktum introduced 10 places in the city where the homeless could spend their nights, encouraging the public to make donations for these locations as if they were booking a room in a hotel. Two weeks before Christmas, Faktum asked a few of the famous artists and bloggers to book a room though this campaign, which was shared on Twitter and Facebook. And as a result, the campaign quickly started to spread across the Social Media, even being featured on the national news (and Even BBC world news).

The campaign was extremely successful, with over 1,000 bookings made.
