  • Ways to fix misaligned and improperly referenced spatial data:

In order to fix misaligned and improperly referenced spatial data, we should transform the coordinate system data set of the spatial data by using ArcToolbox to change and implement these changes to the suitable forms. Also, if the project properties display units are not appropriate, such as distance, shape (angular) and area are using the improper units. It will also generate problems. Therefore, we need to change the property display formation by right clicking the layers, and choose properties, to change this information. In addition, the orders of the layers are also important when we want to see these data clearly. Thereby, to appropriately line these layers in the right order (according to the purpose of the map) is necessary (point->polyline->polygon->larger area).

  • Advantages of remotely sensed Landsat Data:

Remotely sensed Landsat data are being used widely around the globe. The advantages of using remotely sensed Landsat data are that the analysis could cover a large area of spatial data with high resolution, the analysis is able to track changes repeatedly and it could contain historical records (large capacity) that could be referenced in the future. In addition, the analysis is cost effective and could be used in different aspects and fields based on its wavelength basis technic advantage. Such as vegetation coverage, glacier retreat, sea ice extent, landscape changes, heat concentration, and other ecological and geographical usage. It also has large space for improvement.
