Throughout the course, I have learnt many things from my peers. Especially when it comes to public speaking.
I used to get very nervous when i stand in front of the class for speeches, my whole body will shake uncontrollably. Not only that, i might even forget about my lines in front of the class. All the above have made me lost all the confident that i use to have.
However, when i started 299 in the first semester and saw how others performed in front of the class, i have learnt many valuable things, especially from one of the classmates. It’s a girl but i don’t really know her name. She appeared very relax on stage and seems very confident. She used a very informal tone and jokes occasionally. That could help to maintain the attention of her audience, at the mean time, lighting up the atmosphere so that she won’t be too nervous.
All these that i have observed and tried to adopted have helped me greatly in the latter part of the course and in other courses as well, such as the marketing presentation. i felt really reluctant to take this course, and meet such a good speaker like her.
