About
Hi! I’m Zihan, an aspiring veterinarian and conservationist from Beijing, China.
Growing up, I’ve always been a curious animal lover. Ever since receiving a killer whale plush as my 5th birthday present, I’ve become interested in marine life and relevant issues. Now, I’m studying Bsc. Hons. Applied Animal Biology at UBC. I am gradually exploring different aspects of biology through research projects such as analyzing killer whale arrival and discovering water bird gut parasites. I am excited to be learning more about the holistic view approach to marine conservation in BIOL 420.
In my free time, you can find me teaching my brother English, training Taekwondo, moderating gaming groups, and photographing nature while I walk around campus.
