Welcome

The University of British Columbia (UBC) Department of Anthropology is pleased to announce Amplified: Voices, Landscapes, and Belongings, a poster conference that brings to the forefront new and cutting-edge research by emerging academic voices from across the Pacific Northwest. Joining us as keynote speaker will be award winning author and Professor Emerita of Anthropology Dr. Julie Cruikshank, sitting in for an on-stage interview and question-and-answer forum. The poster presentation format provides an excellent opportunity to meet and network with other emerging professionals. Complimentary food and refreshments will be provided!

We acknowledge that we will be gathering on the traditional, ancestral, unceded territory of the Musqueam people.
