Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) set the UN Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda recognizing the gendered impacts of war, displacement and genocide.  Global and national action plans are designed to stop gender based violence in settings of conflict, displacement and genocide and to amplify gender inclusion in peace processes and in social and political recovery.

WPS@UBC features the research and policy work of students, graduates, faculty and associates in recognition of the 20th anniversary of the WPS agenda.
