The Walmart Green Student Challenge is looking for the next big green idea that will change the way Canada does business.

Post-secondary students from across Canada are being asked to come up with the best, the brightest and most innovative sustainable business idea for a chance to win $30,000 and $30,000 for their school.

The winning idea will:

  • present a new way of doing business
  • have a significant sustainability benefit
  • have a strong business case to back it up (it saves money or creates new revenue)

Judges will also be scoring submissions for originality and ease of implementation.

Five semi-finalists will pitch their concept to a panel of Canada’s top CEO’s in Toronto in March 2012. The entrant with the best idea will take home $30,000 for themselves, and $30,000 for their school.
