I am a second year business student in the Sauder School of Business, UBC. My game plan is to graduate from here with a degree in marketing, paired with a minor in either Math or Psychology or Visual Arts. Although my minor is undecided I am fully focused on my marketing degree as of now. Thats that about education, I believe experience can teach you more than education. So I started Isotope Advertising Inc.
Although I choose to do my degree in Business, I ve always inched towards the Art side of life. With a gifted hand at sketching: I started early. By my early teens I could capture landscapes in Black and White. This fascination with Black and White slowly developed into a slight obsession, all pictures, all movies and eventually all art form that sported the elegant Black and White theme caught my attention. I studied this art form as a graphic designer for two years. As a result of that I had grown appreciation for all colors.
I started slow, made designs to inspire myself. Some of it happened to inspire others and before I knew it I was the Head Designer for most of my High School events. After collecting experiences from designing a wide array of promotional material for everything from Graduations to our own International School Festival and everything else in between, I had the confidence to step out there. I worked for a few companies in Bangalore, India for most of my summer on a free lance basis, collected every skill I could pick up on the way before I left the security of my home town and started to do something of my own in University.
First year for me was all about getting used to the place. I did. It was awesome. Then life caught up and I realized that 1 year had just quietly whistled past. I was again back in my hometown doing what I was best at – Designing. Between my frequent “work breaks” and chill time with friends a random phone call from a friend standing under the infamous ‘Banyan Tree’ the foundations for what has grown to become a complete obsession were laid. It was then that I realized an Isotope was formed before the Isotope was founded.
