The Centre for Community Engaged Learning would like to invite you to an initiative called: It’s Election Time: Support People with Disabilities to Vote. During our kick-start event, participants will brainstorm ideas of what we can do to make the federal election more accessible in Vancouver, plan a one month ‘voting accessibility’ project to carry out with others, and hear from community specialists on some of the barriers people with disabilities face to civic engagement. This initiative is taking place in collaboration with Community Living BC, Disability Alliance of BC, Developmental Disabilities Association, and the UBC Centre for Inclusion and Citizenship.
