The course has an optional two-day field trip at the beginning of the semester. This trip will be extremely helpful for providing context for case studies and problem sets. We will visit a number of agricultural operations starting in Vancouver and working our way out of the to the Fraser River Valley. This field trip is optional and worth 20 pts of extra credit.

- Rain gear and boots
- Lunch for both days on your own
- Eating utensils
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Flashlight/headlamp
- Toiletries
Group items to bring:
- Tent
- Stove
- Dinner & breakfast to be organized in your group
