Module II has explained how intergovernmental agreements are formulated, as well as the international diplomacy regulating negotiation of such agreements. Two types of multi-lateral agreements, Legally-binding and Non-legally binding agreements, were outlined. Then, the general principles governing the negotiation process and negotiation in practice were explained.
Finally, the Non-legally Binding Instrument on all types of forests (NLBI on Forests), which was adopted by UNFF and UN General Assembly, was outlined.
