About

Hi! I am Bowen, and I completed my Bachelor of Media Studies at UBC Okanagan, where I focused on communication strategy, audience-centered messaging, and interdisciplinary research. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong interest in how institutions communicate with the public—whether through formal marketing, student engagement strategies, or digital platforms.

My academic work emphasized clarity, relevance, and impact, particularly in public-facing projects that required translating data and research into accessible content for diverse audiences. This portfolio features work created both independently and in collaboration with my research partner, Jessica Williams, including our Capstone project examining the effectiveness of BMS program marketing. Together, we designed and conducted a mixed-methods study, translating student feedback into actionable insights for institutional stakeholders.

My experiences highlight the communication skills and analytical mindset I bring to collaborative work, especially in contexts where clear messaging and community engagement are key.
