Skills for Hope Foundation Scholarships – Application Deadline is March 17, 2025

Since 2017, Skills for Hope Foundation have proudly provided scholarships to dedicated students who demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a commitment to their communities and a strong work ethic. Their scholarships are designed to support individuals who have overcome challenges to achieve their academic and vocational goals, demonstrating resilience and determination along the way.

Every year, Skills for Hope Foundation offers post-secondary academic and vocational scholarships to support the success of promising young individuals living in Canada and attending Canadian institutions to assist students with offsetting the costs of their education.

BC Scholarship Society Indigenous Student Award – Application Deadline is 4:30PM (PST) on April 2, 2025

The BC Scholarship Society offers Indigenous Award programs for students pursuing post-secondary education in BC. They are available to students who identify as Indigenous – First Nations (Status or Non-Status), Métis or Inuit. All are renewable in order to provide sustained funding over multiple years.

Application Deadline is 4:30PM (PST) on Wednesday, April 2, 2025

CNF Scholarships – Application Deadline is March 14th, 2024

The Canadian Nurses Foundation provides scholarships for nursing students across Canada at the baccalaureate, masters and Ph.D. levels. CNF offers a variety of scholarships with specific criteria to ONE IN FIVE applicants across Canada every year!

Eligibility:

  1. Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
  2. Must be enrolled in nursing program in Canada. RN, IEN, NP, LPN, RPN
  3. Must meet program and timeline requirements.

Year 4 BSN Fall Awards – Applications Due Sept. 23, 2024, by 11:59pm PST

Dear Year 4 BSN Students,

The BSN Program is accepting applications for a number of University Awards for Year 4 BSN students.

These are merit-based University Awards provided to students at the recommendation of the School of Nursing / BSN Program, and the following conditions apply:

  • They are governed by University Awards campus wide policy, as outlined in the UBC Awards Calendar.
  • Undergraduate student awards based on academic merit will be given to a student who has a cumulative average of 75% or higher (full time course load with no failed courses).
  • Only 4th year BSN students are eligible for these awards (Currently in Term 4 – September / 2024W)
  • In addition to academic merit, these awards recognize volunteerism, community and/or family service, leadership, student affairs, extracurricular activities, and a commitment to the nursing profession or community, and the need for financial assistance.

To be considered for these awards please complete the BSN Awards Competition Application (Link to Application) by 11:59pm PST on September 23, 2024.

Musqueam First Nation Scholarship: Applications are Due: Fri, Sep 20, 2024

To acknowledge the strong relationship UBC has with the Musqueam First Nation, the President’s Office has created a community-based scholarship for Indigenous students.

Valued up to $5,500 annually and renewable for up to four years, the scholarship supports students from the Musqueam First Nation studying at UBC in their undergraduate, post baccalaureate (including Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Education, Pharmacy, Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Work), and graduate studies.

Recipients will have demonstrated academic and leadership achievements including, but not limited to, engagement in the arts, athletics, school, and/or their community. Recipients will be selected on their ability to demonstrate their openness to continuing to learn who they are, where they come from, and their responsibility in enriching and carrying knowledge forward in their community and the world.
