Review Online Learning Tool and Enter to Win Cash Prizes

Help review our online learning tool for disability advocacy and enter to win one of three cash prizes!

Although conversations around diversity and inclusion have become more prominent, students with disabilities continue to face barriers across all disciplines of higher education including Health and Human Service Programs (HHSP). In 2018, the research-based theatre play, Alone in the Ring, was created to help share the lived experiences of students and clinicians with disabilities in HHSP professions. Currently, the Alone in the Ring team has created a new online learning tool that combines the performance with additional learning resources. We now need students from your program to give us feedback on this tool before its prospective integration within the curriculum next year. The learning experience and surveys should take you no more than one and a half hours to complete. All those who participate in this study and complete both the pre and the post survey, will be eligible to win one of three cash prizes valued $50 each.

NNPBC Instagram Contest for National Nursing Students’ Week

This week, November 21-27, 2022, is National Nursing Students’ Week in Canada. To celebrate, NNPBC is running a National Nursing Students’ Week Instagram Contest open to nursing students in any designation program located anywhere in BC! We would love your help in sharing information about this contest with your networks.

To participate, nursing students need to:

  1. Follow NNPBC on Instagram @nnp_bc
  2. Like our National Nursing Students’ Week Instagram post (see attached for what it looks like)
  3. Comment on the post with the nursing designation they are working towards and the location of their educational institution in BC

The contest runs from November 20-December 10, 2022. Two winners will be randomly selected after the closing date to win both a $250 gift card and free NNPBC membership for 2023!

Note that students do not have to be current NNPBC members to participate. They just have to be current nursing students at any institution located in BC. For more details, visit our webpage at www.nnpbc.com/nnsw2022.
