I could tell he wants to be protected from some fierce stuff. And it seems to be displayed at the Non-Violence room. I thought violence exists not only Japan but also Canada, and the painter wanted to claim some inaudible help to the visitor.

As Hanae said above, I also feel that this man wants protection from violence. I am not sure who attacks him, but it could be his parent, his friends, or gangs. This picture also could see crying for loneliness.

This picture is expressed the poor person who lost their will to do something even if standing alone. The number of these people are increasing around the world against the growing economy, so we have to know the fact from the picture.

I can’t understand why this tittle is safe? I don’t think so. I think this picture express a runaway from reality, and despair.

I have a same idea of Yosuke and I thought the man lost his energy to live. Many homeless people face this situation. I do not want them to lost the feeling of happy.

Homeless person is sleeping on the street. This picture is titled “SAFE,” but this place doesn’t seem to be safe at all to me. However this guy might feel comfortable to get a big cushion to sleep on during that night. People who are in different situation have completely different ideas.

This picture’s title is “safe” but I think this boy in this picture is not safe. This boy is in light space but the boy is surrounded by dark space so this boy is not protected and feels alone.

This picture shows man who sleep in the street. Yellow represent warmth. I think he seeks warmth from dangerous, isolation and cold.

I think the picture shows homeless man who sleeping on the street. The situation is quite different from ‘safe’. The man maybe fighting against cold and lonely.

I thought this shows that the person run away from violence and finally he got to the place where is safe. Thus, he can sleep without any worry.

I was so shocked at the picture when I saw at first. I guess the picture asks us “what is safety?”. Some people can receive safety while the others become the victims of danger. I think we have to remember that there is no safety which can be received as “natural things”.

I guess the yellow circle is the moon and it indicates night. Therefore this picture shows someone who sleeping on the street without getting warm. It should be the reason why he bent his body into center. He is meaning to get warm by himself.
