I come from a clinical background, primarily working in the public sector, with a sojourn into private medical legal work. I have a breadth of experience working with adults over the age of 19. Prior to working for UBC, I was the Research, Education, and Practice Coordinator for occupational therapy at Providence Health Care. This enabled me to provide clinical support and mentorship to occupational therapists in a medium-sized health authority.

I believe that occupational therapists can make a significant contribution to the healthcare system through using our expertise to advocate for an equitable service for all clients, and especially those from marginalized populations. I want to inspire students to be confident healthcare leaders who rely on sound evidence, exceptional clinical skills, and effective communication to impose change on our medical model driven system.

I am passionate about sport. I enjoy winter sports including cross-country skiing, alpine skiing and curling. I love playing tennis. I was a competitive distance runner and triathlete. My favourite spectator sport is currently biathlon.
