The theaters begin to show the movie Harry Potter 7 today. I’ve been a fan since I was in primary school and it has been many years that I care about the series Harry Potter. I remember that this series has been the most successful money makers in the fairy tale field. Whether or not it’s the movie, book or its accessories, even though the big theme park based on HP in Orlando has been proved a great success.
When I grow older I begin to wonder how this character has become the world most famous wizard. We cannot deny the brilliant plot and world in HP. But it is not the only fascinating book in the world. So even though I’m not perfectly sure about all its marketing strategy, but whoever did the marketing for HP must be really brilliant.
But based on my own experience, there is something about HP that did make me more attracted to it. I can recall clearly that the first four books about this series were published about a book a year. And it has appealed a great number of loylty fans. And we were all very excited about ther fifth book, but it took a really long time for the fifth one to come to market. During that time, a lot of other people became fans of HP because a lot of original fans were complaining about the late coming of the fifth one and they were interested in this magic book.
Maybe this is just a coincidence because a wonderful book takes time to be finished. But in my own opinion I think that if this is a marketing strategy, no doubt this is a wonderful strategy. Anyway the truth would never be known but we cannot deny the fact that HP has become immortal in all people’s mind in our generation.
