POST 1: Introduction to the Project

Background: Traditionally, children explore on common playgrounds that suggest plastic play structures. This does not encourage children to discover the natural world. More natural elements such as hobbit hills, outdoor musical instruments and wood block dividers will provide the needs for children to be creative and visual in early developmental stages.

  1. Hi Team,

This looks like a very cool project. In some ways, it’s quite similar to your CIVL 201 project isn’t it. The challenge will be to make sure that your client is satisfied with your work! I’m really interested to see how it progresses.

    Best regards,
    SN

  2. Hi Team,

Please review the blog rubric under “CBEL Project Assignments, Marks, Due Dates” for expectations of each blog post.

      • After emailing Dr. Nesbit, we have decided to change the format of the posts. Instead of organizing the posts into tabs that was easily accessible to viewers to conveniently and efficiently seeing all the details, we have posted them together now. We are working with Dr. Nesbit to arrange another marking date for the first post again.

        • Hello Team 9,

I apologize for not seeing your separate pages earlier. I can understand why you have decided to adopt a similar format to your community organization, and it is appreciated that you have reverted back to the blog post format.

The updated marking is as follows:
The post includes an introduction of the CBEL project (one paragraph), the organization involved (one paragraph), and the community to benefit from the project (one paragraph). [12/15] (does not quite exceed but is sufficient)
The post includes a brief introduction to the team members. [9/15]
The post includes at least one appropriate figure or image. [15/15]
The post is written in a concise, clear and effective manner. [13.5/15]
The post is of appropriate length to communicate the key ideas and uses appropriate grammar, spelling, etc. as would be required for a professional communication. [13.5/15]

          Average – 13/15

          Best,
          Dennis
