The Child Language and Cognition Lab is directed by Paola Colozzo, PhD, speech-language pathologist and associate professor at the UBC School of Audiology and Speech Sciences.
Other researchers participating in the program and activities of the lab include:

The lab also includes undergraduate and graduate students. All are carefully trained to prepare them for conducting our research projects with children.
Students currently participating in research at the lab are:
Yu Cen Gao, MSc, RSLP, is a doctoral student at UBC and a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist. Her primary clinical interests include working with preschool and school-age children who present with various pediatric speech, language, and social communication delays and disorders. Her research interests include raising awareness of DLD in the educational setting, early identification of DLD for children entering school, and the process of identifying DLD in multilingual children.
Ali Hewton, BA, is a second-year master’s student in speech-language pathology at UBC. Her research interests include raising awareness of Developmental Language Disorders (DLD) and early identification of DLD for children entering school.
