I. PREPARATION

Before class, please prepare the following:

1. Read about the various business models and structures outlined in this “Social Enterprise Typology” (The Four Lenses Strategic Framework, courtesy of Virtue Ventures LLC) and the MaRS Social Enterprise Business Models. Of particular interest are the Operational Models outlined there. Consider: where would a social enterprise of interest to you (i.e. those discussed in last class) fit in this model?
2. Read and think about the Social Business Model Canvas created by Social Innovation Lab. Consider: how practical and helpful are the changes to the original BMC structure for use with social enterprises?
3. Complete the Business Models 2 Pre-assessment on Canvas.
