2018: about

Attention: Next time this course is planned to be offered is September 2020.

CPEN 642 is a seminar-based graduate course taught by Prof. Konstantin (Kosta) Beznosov for those grad students who would like to get oriented in a specific domain of cybersecurity research. Each time, the domain of this research seminar is different. In 2018, the domain was usable privacy and security (UPS).

The course is designed for PhD and thesis-based Masters programs. We will be reading, critiquing, presenting, and discussing most important papers published in top venues. Also, each student (individually or with another student) will write their own research paper on a topic of their choice, get feedback from the course instructor and the fellow students, and present the paper at the course mini-conference.

For more details, see course information page and the course calendar.
