Although I’ve been consistently blogging about TV shows, books and movies, there are a few things that I’ve fallen in love with that I haven’t been able to necessarily write about as of yet.
1. Provence
Provence is a restaurant I took my parents to for their wedding anniversary and New Year’s Eve dinner. It’s probably the best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at in Vancouver. At Provence you’ll find high quality food, service AND beverages for a price that is most definitely worth it. While our bill came to $200, we had ordered wine, appies, entrees AND a dessert, all of which were delicious, so we were definitely happy to pay. In fact, my parents loved it so much that they’re planning on going back for brunch. (I’m obvz tagging along).
highlight: My entree: Crab and lobster risotto. Best dish I have ever had at a restaurant!
2. Vancouver Canucks
My hometown team is rocking the NHL right now. Check out their stats and I’m sure you’ll find out exactly why I’m digging the ‘Nucks. With the way this team is looking, I will not be surprised if we end up with the Stanley Cup this year! Go Canucks Go!
3. iPhone 4
Been almost a month since I’ve fallen in love with my phone and I’m seriously still in the honeymoon phase. I’m actually starting to wish it was a man because if it WERE, it’d be that guy that’s really good looking and dependable and is perfectly suited to your needs and wants. It’s perfect and the interface is sleek and easy to use. Damn you, Apple, for making me join your cult!

Back to school and already slackin like crazy. My current drug of choice? Misfits! The British show Twitter peeps have been raving about AND my two favorite bloggers have recommendd to their readers. (Those bloggers btw are Trent from Pink is the New Blog and Lainey from Lainey Gossip. You should definitely check em out.)
Misfits is a show about British young delinquents who engage in superhero activities and sexy time which is most definitely the perfect escape from school, textbooks and notes! If you choose to check in to Misfits, it’s everywhere: YouTube, Vuze, surfthechannel.com, so there are plenty of opportunities to watch. You won’t regret it!

Heart of the Matter – Emily Giffin = your typical chick lit book.

I didn’t necessarily love it, but I didn’t hate it either. She always writes such real characters that you can’t help seeing yourself or someone you know in her stories.
The Good: It’s an easy read; it’s a book that you can read within a day and be so engrossed in the story and characters that you put off everything else that you’re supposed to be doing that day. Drink it with a glass of wine or right before bed, but either way, you’re gonna dig it if you want to be subtly entertained by a chicklit story.
The Bad: The ending. I didn’t feel like there was any real conclusion to either of the two women’s stories. Not as great as her previous books, but it was good until the last 10 pages.
Her books are such a guilty pleasure that a girl will always enjoy reading it. I was just a taaaaaaad disappointed with how it ended because it could’ve been so much better, but that’s just me!

Like art? Check out www.fromupnorth.com
While most websites feature just art in one dimension or another, From Up North tackles different types of art and categorizes them quite neatly. My favorite section is Quotations, but the cool part is that you’ll eventually find one category or several categories that suit your likes and tastes because there are so many parts to the site.
The best part is that the site reminds you that art is everywhere. It’s in words, pictures, drawings, even logos and advertising and that whether you regard something as art depends on how you view something.
