I believe that the smallest things in life are what makes life tick. Because of this, I am passionate and dedicated to all things I do in life – whether it be school, work or just plain having fun with those that I love.

I am a big-picture thinker who likes to create logical solutions to scientific premises. Currently, I am a Master in Public Health (MPH) student at the University of British Columbia. My professional interests are in the field of chronic disease epidemiology. I believe that public health can be effective in minimizing the effects of chronic disease that are prevalent in our country today. While primary and secondary health measures are essential in treating patients living with chronic conditions, such as diabetes and coronary heart disease, public health can facilitate a coordinated effort in promoting public awareness and prevention. Branches of public health, such as epidemiology is the first step of the problem solving process — identification. Therefore, epidemiology is the key in developing an effective and efficient strategy to combat chronic diseases in our country.

Outside of school and work, I enjoy all things that bring a smile to my face. These include but are not limited to: design, travelling, reading, fashion and cooking :).

Welcome to my world!
