The assignment is intended as a creative way to research the social media industry in Vancouver and develop contacts in the sector. It is aimed at capturing the rich tapestry of individuals involved in social media in the city as students practice photography and interviewing skills. The assignment is an opportunity to explore career opportunities in social media and gain some insights into the life of social media professions.
The assignment is inspired by the Humans of New York project which captured life in New York through portraits and captions of the city’s inhabitants.
