Hello/bonjour.

This being my first blog ever, I’m not really sure where to start.

My name is Devin Belanger, but most people prefer to just use the mono-syllabic version of my name: “Dev”. Whatever floats your boat.

As far as things about me, I enjoy long walks on the beach, romantic candlelit dinners, and a good mystery novel. Just kidding.

If I could sum myself up in one word, I would choose: “Wanderlust”.
There is nothing I enjoy more than travelling, except for perhaps losing myself in nostalgia; reminiscing about my adventures with whoever will listen.

Travelling was, in fact, what led me to become fascinated with philosophy– one has a considerable amount of time to think while backpacking alone through South-East Asia.

While I haven’t read many, my favourite philosophical works include The Stranger by Camus and Kafka’s Metamorphosis. Some of my favourite non-philosophical books include David Mitchell’s Ghostwritten as well as many sci-fi classics, such as 1984, Dune and Ender’s Game. When I’m not acting all pretentious and intellectual, however, I love to DJ & produce dance music, party at shows around town, and attend the gym to keep healthy.
