Subject: Hi from Vancouver Island!
I prepared this graphic as part of my introduction to ETEC 512: Applications of Learning Theories to the Analysis of Instructional Settings. It’s a fun way to share information about myself.
Good afternoon. I attended your session at SITE this past spring. I’ve been looking over your page and re-reading your paper. I am interested in “playing” with the methods you are using for documenting via the mportfolio in order to share them with preservice and inservice teachers. Have you identified (a) particular app(s) or tool(s) that you think work best with your kindergarten children? I still remember the level of enthusiasm you brought to your presentation! Thank you for sharing.

Joanna,
The platform I currently like is Pathbrite for reasons I detailed in my Research Proposal; a copy is posted on the mPortfolios/Proposal page. Basically Pathbrite (pathbrite.com) is a web-based application so it is works with mobile devices and conventional computers. It is very user friendly and does not require a ton of tech savvy to develop a professional looking product. The last time I checked it was free for up to five portfolios. In the next couple of few weeks I plan to review a couple of other promising platforms and post information to an mPortfolio resource blog I am developing. Thanks for your interest.
