Field Research Assistant
Dates: February 18 – 25, 2018
Location: North Coast BC
Qualifications: Wilderness/Alpine hiking experience, familiarity with Alpine snow conditions, first aid training (OFA1, Wilderness First Aid, or equivalent), background in ecology, archaeology, or anthropology.
Compensation: travel to field site, accommodations, and food all covered. $500 field stipend.
Duties: to participate in a 3-4 person field crew as we hike into research zone in coastal alpine on BC’s north coast (in laxyuup Gitxaała). Objectives of this trip are to assess conditions during winter season.
Equipment Required: full winter camping kit, snowshoes, crampons, tent, etc. Food is provided and dealt with collectively.
