In order to optimise the use of administrative and operations support space across the Faculty, we have been conducting a review of space utilization. We have seen a decline in the usage of computer labs in the Scarfe building, in particular the lab in Room 1011. In order to facilitate the transition of IT operations to UBC IT, the lab has been closed and the space repurposed to serve as an IT hub for the Faculty of Education and other clients. Up to six desktop support staff will be permanently located at this IT hub to serve your desktop support needs.
The Macintosh lab in room 1006 and the Windows labs in rooms 1007 and 155 will remain open, and can continue to be booked by completing the online web form.
