The following is a sampling of my best academic papers written during this course, ENGL 301-Technical Writing.
The purpose of this assignment was to:
- Appreciate the importance and role of definitions in technical writing
- Understand how audience and purpose indicate the need for definition
- Differentiate between the levels of details in definition
- Select the right level of detail according to the situation.
Two Business Letters, a Bad News- and a Complaint Letter, were created in order to persuade the audience to respond or act in a certain way, or to provide information. This is an especially important consideration when you are writing a letter of complaint about an error on a bill, rude service, a mistake in delivery, or the poor quality of some product you have purchased.

The report was intended to investigate, analyze, and recommend action on a problem of which I have recently been a part. I have decided to write a Proposal to my dentist regarding the Organization and Facilitation of an Educational Program for Patients (and their parents if interested) on proper dental care and how to reduce the incidence of dental decay while undergoing orthodontic treatment.
The purpose for this review was to give the colleague constructive and balanced feedback that will allow for effective revision at the next stage of the report project. I have reviewed Bhawandeep’s Formal Report Draft.
