The First Post in Term Three

Dear Parents,

I hope you had a wonderful Spring Break!

1. Dictation

  • April 8: 谁,谁的,什么,几,多少,多少钱,元,块,毛,分
  • April 15: The remaining question words

We have been practicing these words and related sentences in class. Students are expected to memorize the characters, words, and Pinyin. If you would like to do additional practice at home, please refer to the worksheets posted last term.

I also asked the students to bring their duotang back home to review. You can find more worksheets that we used in class. There is a barcode on each page. If you scan it, you can hear the audio related to the worksheet.

2. Goals for This Term

  • Learn The Three Little Pigs to develop listening and speaking skills, as well as related vocabulary and sentence structures.
  • Develop typing skills and learn how to input Chinese characters by keying Pinyin and selecting the correct characters from the options provided.
  • Continue encouraging students to bring a Chinese book home each week for reading practice. Students who speak Mandarin at home are encouraged to read by covering the Pinyin.
  • Continue practicing challenging aspects of Pinyin through learning and reciting tongue twisters.

Thank you for your continued support! Happy Easter!

Ms. Chen
