Subject: Submitted Proposal for Researching the Feasibility of Improving Onboarding for New Tech Hires at Article, Vancouver
Prior to the due date of October 15th, I have successfully posted my research proposal on the Team Capybara forum. Attached is the proposal in word .doc format.
The research proposal has the following key points:
- Article (online furniture company) is actively hiring software engineers to work remotely.
- Article’s onboarding process has a negative impact on developers’ productivity and mental health.
- Possible solutions include mentorship programs, online socials and clearer documentation.
- I plan to write a formal report to Tahseen Fida, Engineer Director at Article, analyzing the current onboarding process and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Research will involve reading publications and gathering employee feedback through interviews and surveys.
- Qualifications include my position as a 4th year Bachelor of Computer Science student and a software engineer intern at Article.
- Upon your approval, I will promptly begin the investigation.
