Subject: Proposal for improving the road plan of Guixi Park to enhance the motivation of the community’s motivation to access the park

Dear Dr. Paterson,

I have completed the Assignment 2.1 research proposal assignment and posted the proposal to our team forum. This assignment was posted on the instructor’s Blog with the due date of October 15, 2021.

Here are the main points in my research proposal:

1. An overview of the location of Guixi Park and its planned uses.
2. A problem statement of why Guixi Park does not currently serve the needs of Guixi community residents well.
3. My proposed solution is to improve the road plan based on the results of a survey of current resident issues and suggestions.
4. The scope of the study will include:
   1. the distribution of residents’ residences,
   2. the current status of residents’ access to the park,
   3. the current status of functional use of the park community,
   4. difficulties in accessing the park,
   5. suggestions for the park designers,
   6. the expectations of the renovated park.
5. The methodology section suggests using a sample survey to conduct a community survey. The designer will make the road modification plan design based on the survey results. However, the final proposal will be selected by residents using online voting.
6. My qualifications to complete the project include my working experience with multiple park designs, and my appeal within the community as a resident of it.
