A summary of my formal report proposal is listed below:
- An introduction about the demand for computer science education
- A review of mismatching between academic goals and industrial requirements in computer science education and the problem that mismatching cause
- A proposed solution to solve the mismatching — providing a new workshop session to train students’ coding ability
- Four areas of inquiry in assessing the feasibility of offering a new workshop
- interviewing previous students and surveying current students as two methods to meet inquiry
- My previous experience in the UBC computer science program to show my qualifications
