Title: Proposal for reducing food waste at Mount Saint Joseph Hospital – A Peer Review
October 18, 2021
Zoe,
The proposal for reducing food waste within the hospital is well written and easy to read. The proposed solution to the issue outlined is presented in a clear and organized format.
Initial Impressions:
Initial impressions were the organization and clarity of the written work. Subheadings provide a defined outline to the proposal and can be readily referenced. The problem at hand appears important based on the definitions in the text, and the proposed solution seems fitting. The author seems to be qualified to be conducting the research outlined.
Purpose:
The intended purpose is clear. A description of the current food waste reduction system within the hospital is explained and the main issue at hand is pointed out. The proposed solution seems fitting and is adequately defined. Alternative are included for patients who may be unable to effectively utilize the proposed solution. This was an excellent addition to a well-thought out proposal.
Audience:
The intended audience is adequately described prior to the introduction. Research questions are listed in bullet-style points which improves readability. A suggestion could be made to include more questions to gather as much information as possible – are the long-term staff and patients ready and willing to make this change?
Grammar/Typos:
No grammatical errors or typos were noted. The visual included must be labeled correctly.
Final Thoughts:
- Includes the necessary features of a formal report proposal
- Defines the intended audience and clearly explains intended purpose
- Proposal seems fitting to the problem at hand
- Is professionally and concisely written
- Suggestion to add more questions under Scope
- Could be approved by editor with minimal revisions
