1. Audience

• The target audience for this report is Leonard Wang, the current president of Computer Science Student Society

2. Purpose of the report

• To bring attention to the disconnection between CS education and research university and actual career in software development.

• To make more career training resources available to CS students

3. Significance of the report

• To enhance CS students’ competence in job market

• To create a helpful environment

4. Research plan

• Primary sources

• Handing out survey to CS students

• Collecting and analyzing data using Excel spreadsheet

• Secondary sources

• Look up on Internet about common practices taken by CS student organizations in other universities

• Solution formation

• Come up with a solution based on primary and secondary sources

5. Research schedule

• Oct 30 – Nov 14: Drafting formal report

• Nov 15: Formal report draft submission

• Nov 16 – Nov 19: Peer review of formal report draft

• Nov 19 – Nov 25: Editing of formal report draft

• Nov 26: Formal report submission
