Purpose and Significance of Report
The goal of this report is increasing awareness of the need to improve green initiatives within the dental office. Following successful implementation of greener choices, it is anticipated that other offices will be motivated to make conscious choices to be more environmentally friendly with the products and services they use.
Intended Audience
This proposal is intended to be read by the owner and lead dentist of The Tooth Gallery dental office.
Report Objectives
The objectives of this report are:
- To determine the extent of environmental waste produced in a typical dental office
- To assess the validity of staff perception of current environmental waste and green practices
- To provide recommendations for reducing ecological footprint and producing less waste
Methods:
Primary data collection via an online survey targeted to consumers. Attached is the link to the survey questions being used to gather data for this report:

Secondary sources will include researching trends in product and material use in the dental market.

Research Plan
Problem:
- Identify areas of environmental waste within the dental office and opportunities for implementation of better products and services
- Identify disparities and barriers in access to greener products and services

- Survey responses from members of the dental team
Secondary Data Sources:
- Research conducted on current trends in dental market-based products and services used
Solution:
- Promotion of more environmentally friendly options for dental products and services in dental offices
