Subject: Research Proposal Peer Review
I have reviewed your research proposal. Thank you for taking the time to explain the intended audience, problem, and potential solution. The proposal was easy to understand. I would like to offer the following suggestions organized by the section in your research proposal:
Introduction: The introduction to the problem was straight forward and easy to understand. The climate change is an extensive term to summarize and you did a really good job explaining it quickly within a few sentences. The only issue was “land-use changes” could be expanded in terms of which particular land-use changes contribute to heat wave.
Statement of Problem: The data provided to show the problem exists and how it can be the direct cause of deaths was well written. The sentence “During the week of…” is a run-on sentence. It can be broken up into two sentences such as discussing the week of July and then the investigations conducted in a separate sentence. Overall well written and highlights the problem with references to data.
Proposed Solution: Well written and easy to understand the solution being proposed.
Scope: Well written and brief.
Methods: Good use of distinguishing between your primary sources and secondary sources. Statistical data could be explained in detail regarding what exact data will be used such as average temperature etc.
Qualifications: Well written and you highlight your current field of study as being the major qualification.
Summary: I hope my recommendations are helpful. The issue and proposed solution were very well written and easy to understand. There were a few long sentences that can be broken up but there were zero grammar mistakes. Overall great work!
