Subject: Assignment 2.3– Reflection Blog for Unit 2
Throughout this unit, my peers continued to hold me accountable to be clearer in my writing. I worked hard this unit to use less esoteric vernacular and do believe this is visible through my revised work.
I am looking forward to working further on the Formal Report and was encouraged by my peers to pursue a field that was close to me in health and wellbeing that directly impacts students. I hope that the audience is specific enough and do have concerns about this, please advise if this is something you would like to discuss further. I appreciated that throughout the peer review, I continued to re-read and review the material after submitting to ensure that it was clear, constructive, and noted within the guidelines asked. This continued chance to catch myself in action and being proactive with making changes to increase clarity on my writing was helpful both for myself and for my peers who aided with the review.
I enjoyed learning more about how to support networking opportunities through navigating LinkedIn. As a full-time employee in biotech, I have been using Linkedin to connect and keep in touch with fellow colleagues. This work allowed for me to reflect on my own actions and consider new networking strategies that I could use to support my connections from here on out.
For my formal report, I continue to have concerns about if it is specified enough of an audience and if the material proposed for usage is what is expected of our guidelines to meet. If the proposal and designated problem looking to investigate continues to be unclear I will consider revising and investigating a new path in time for November 1st to start the research. Peer reviewing has helped me with my writing considering that it has allowed me to recognize where I still need to grow as a writer. I have also been holding myself accountable with being constructive and straight to the point in my writing. I continue to exercise this work thanks to the work performed in this class outside of class and in my own work setting. I believe that the lessons learned so far in this course has supported me with my networking and efficiency when considering networking outreach outside of university courses.
