My name is Tamar Tucker-Harrison and I am now in my Third Year of the Bachelor of Media Studies program at UBC. Topics of study in my field include Visual Art, Film Studies, Film Production, Art History, Journalism, Computer Science, Media Theory and Creative Writing. I enjoy the examination of film, television and games both academically and recreationally and am a bit of a tech and audio enthusiast. I have no required courses this semester as most others in my program are on exchange or co-op, consequentially my course load consists entirely of electives. I have also decided to take a predominantly online workload so that I have time during the week to work doing tree work with a local Arborist. I am also looking to find employment part time in a field more relevant to Media Studies, perhaps working in film or with a games company, although I am open to other media-orientated occupations.
