- Assignment 1:3 Definitions and Peer Reviews
In Unit 1, we completed an assignment on a definition (for any particular word of our choosing) written in three different ways that included a parenthetical, sentence and expanded definition. For this assignment, I was able to take advantage of choosing a word that I am familiar within the realms of my area of studies. As a student currently near completion with a psychology degree, I had chosen to write my definition on ‘Aphasia’.

In Unit 2, we were were introduced to Networking and Resume building that will help shape and outline our experiences that will ultimately allow us to apply for future job opportunities.
The purpose of the LinkedIn assignment aimed to enhance our network building skills, and thereby encourage us to create a LinkedIn profile that would outline our skills, experiences and education on one major platform that can be reviewed by anyone online.

- Assignment 3:1. Complaint letter and Response letter
In Unit 3, we were introduced to the “you attitude” assignment in which we were required to reply to a student in regards to writing emails professionally and according to proper etiquette.
The second part of the assignment included writer a complaint letter from an unsatisfied customer’s perspective regarding a particular issue or problem that required attention; followed by respondent (usually a manager) who responds with a bad news letter. For the purpose of this assignment, I wrote a complaint letter from a customer’s standpoint in regard to an increase in personalized vehicle insurance. For the responding letter, I wrote a letter from a managers perspective on how to deal with certain complaints professionally, followed by a viable solution that would benefit both the customer and the organization.

Towards the end of Unit 4, we were required to focus on completing our individual formal report proposals that outlines a topic of interest to make the readers aware about a particular issue or situation. In my Formal report, I chose to write regarding ‘Reducing carbon emissions from household waste and transportation vehicles in Vancouver’
