About Me: Hi! I’m Jordan and I’m really excited to be serving as president this fall in my fifth year of EESA! I’m originally from Winnipeg and am a huge fan of Vancouver’s lack of snow. I’m super into wetlands and my life dream is to be in a cranberry bog like in the Ocean Spray commercials. In my free time my favourite hobby is to fill all of my free time but you can sometimes catch me out at concerts!

Academic Representatives – Katie Drobe and Liz Murashko

Year: 4

About Liz: About me: I’m Liz and looking forward to joining EESA as one of the academic reps! I’m originally from Calgary but just coming back to uni from an exchange in Australia. I love anything outside and active and am excited to be back in Vancouver!

About Katie: Hi I’m Katie and I will be an academic rep this year with Liz! I’m from Penticton B.C and going into my 4th year at UBC. I have been a part of EESA for 2 years now previously as a 2nd year class rep, and a communications rep. I am looking forward to what our council will achieve this year and can’t wait to connect with the ENV community.


Industry Representatives  – Meghan Doyle and Talia Lemieux

About Talia: Hi! I’m Talia and super excited to be one of your industry reps. I’m currently working in water treatment in-between my third and fourth year and am stoked to show the diverse industries of environmental engineering!
About Meghan: Hi! My name is Meghan and I am excited to be one of EESA’s industry reps. I am in my fourth and final year of environmental engineering with an international relations minor. I am originally from Seattle, WA and I love spending time outdoors.

Student Life Representatives – Chehan Mallawa Arachchi and Esha Dhillon

About Chehan: 

Hello, I am Chehan, and I’ll be serving as Co-VP Social this year with Esha! Currently I’m on an internship, but you’ll see me around the clubroom or on campus after work hours. My hobbies are 3D printing and logging species on iNaturalist.

About Esha:

Hi! I’m Esha, and I’ll be serving as Co-VP Social this year! I’m excited to plan fun events, help create memorable experiences, and meet new people during my final year. In my free time, I enjoy practicing nail art and paddleboarding—weather permitting!

 


Grad Representative – Shayla Flores

About Shayla: Hi, I’m Shayla! I’m currently a 4th year ENV and I’m so excited to be serving as this year’s grad rep! I chose Environmental Engineering after my hometown flooded in 2021 so that I could work towards building climate resilient cities. My favourite things include watching/playing hockey, reading, yoga, and baking!


Sports and E-Week Representatives – Mikhail Popovich and Colin Jones

About Mikhail: Hey! My name is Mikhail and I’m excited to enjoy some sports and help run e-week with EESA this year. I am originally from Kyrgyzstan, and always am fascinated by the beautiful nature of Vancouver. You can find me outside hiking, camping, and checking out the Vancouver night life in my down time!
About Colin: Hi! I’m Colin! I’m in my third year this year and am super excited to be Sports and E-Week Rep! I’m from Seattle (Go Seahawks) and in my free time I like to listen to music, hike and play water polo for the UBC club team!

Communications Representative – Jenavieve Gan

About Jenavieve: Heya! My name’s Jenavieve and I’m so grateful to be EESA’s VP Comms this year. I’m originally from Jakarta, Indonesia and teleported all the way to UBC to be with you env folks. Facilities Managers – Mackenzie Leckie and Olivia Kempfe

Year 6

About Max:

I’m Mackenzie, a 4th-year ENVL student, and I’m excited to take care of our facilities along with Olivia for the 2026/2027 school year! I love to read sci-fi books and play board, card and video games. You can probably find me in the clubroom or in the library, but you might even get lucky and catch me in the lab!
