This Connected Learning OER is brought to you by:
Jen Hanson
Former college instructor Jen Hanson is at the beginning of her journey as a parent of a child who does not fit well into the current public education system. She is constantly seeking and trying out alternative educational methods and strategies, and is optimistic about the role connected learning could play in making school more relevant, exciting, accessible and successful for all children.
Sylvain Menard
As a high school teacher currently metamorphosing into a learning coach for teenagers, Sylvain’s main mission as an educator is to connect education with life. With an eclectic background in visual arts, sociology, forestry, and business, he always seeks new adventures. Mr. Menard’s favourite activity is to get people out of boxes.
Diane Underhill
Diane is a health educator who welcomes the changing ways of our communications. After successfully ‘launching’ one of her teens from public education and facilitating a second, Diane recognizes that Connected Learning could be useful in enhancing engagement of learners. If she were doing it over again, Diane would move to NYC to enroll her children in Quest to Learn.
Neil Busby
Neil is a high school teacher working at a British Columbia Offshore School in China where he is the Vice-Principal. He is constantly looking for ways to integrate technology and connected learning into his school. He hopes that one day easy access to technology for learning will be available to all.
